The twins have succeed at the first of many hurdles ahead in their years of education. Both of the had all "Excellents" on their report cards. So proud. Austin and Avery had the privilege of leading the flag solute for their ceremony. It was a great year with a great teacher, and a great class with great families. The kids really enjoyed it and learned a lot. I am glad that we waited a year to start them in school. Avery is my little perfectionist smarty pants. She reminds me of Hermione in Harry Potter. Austin is Mr. Social. His teacher said that he is very mature socially. He can get along with everyone and is not judgemental. I can't believe how much the kids are growing. First graders, wow. One more year and all three of my kids will be in school. It has been such a blessing to have such a great family. We are having a blast watching our kids grow and joining them in learning and just enjoying life. Yes, we have trials and hard times, but the good totally outweigh the bad.

The only day ever Avery didn't wear shorts under her dress. Poor girl flashed the whole audience.

Easily Entertained!

Sometimes it doesn't take much to keep the kids entertained. Give them a big box. Build them a fort. Buy them a donut! The kids play so well together, take care of each other and love each other. I'm glad that they are so close together in age. I hope that they will always stay close.

Cousins and Memories

It's not often that we have the chance to play with our cousins Gracie and Abby. In May, Jolene went to a wedding and we got to spend some time with the cousins. We went to Grammy and Grandpa's house and had lots of fun. At first Gracie wasn't so sure it was a good idea. By the end, everyone was comfortable and cuddling up to a good movie. We played hide-and-go-seek for a long time in the house. Gracie, Avery, Nolan and I went for a walk and fed the horses (Gracie's favorite part.) and we ate spaghetti and watched a movie. Nolan and Abby got along great, as did Avery and Gracie. It is so fun playing with cousins. One of my favorite things to do growing up. I remember the sleep overs, the steamrollers, the tape recorders, the bike rides, skating (on 4 wheel skates), nights at Great Grandmas with frozen chocolate chip cookies and lemon drops, hikes with uncle Randy, and on and on. I hope my kids can make lots of fun memories with their cousins.

More Baseball

Garrett always says he doesn't want to coach his kids, but he is so good at it. He gets lots of quality time with Austin and Austin gets attention to his hearts desire.

Austin had a great baseball season. His team was great. All the families were awesome. We were sad to see the season end. The kids had a great end of the year party and coach Dave's and we made new friends.

Three Piggy Opera

The kids did a THREE PIGGY OPERA for back to school night. I video taped the whole thing, but didn't get any pictures. Here are the ones I took before we left for the occasion. The kids did a great job singing. Avery was a mommy pig. Austin was one of the three little pigs. Avery is our performer. She is the one you can hear the most whenever the class sings together. Austin is the one that looks like he is having fun because he is not always singing, but always smiling.

Nolan had to do a Karate Kid picture. (the original of course.)

I asked Nolan to do a serious picture and this is the best he could do because he just couldn't help himself.

My little baby is growing up. It was like this summer was the summer of transformation. He is now my little man. He has taken to school like a champion. He is very social and loves learning. He can sit down and do math and writing, coloring and cutting for long periods of time. I am so proud of him.
Nolan has just started on his first soccer team too and again, we were impressed. He is listening to his coach and going 100%. Looks to be like those years of watching big bro and big sis are paying off. He is such a little athlete. We love you Nolan!

We were sitting at the dinner table the other night and I can't remember what we were talking about, but Nolan was talking about his booty and he called it his hiney. It was so cute and funny. Silly Nolan.

Nolan has grown so much in the last year, from riding his bike to waking up dry in the morning. No more babies in the Weagant house. One more year of daycare and Nolan's world will change. I love his energy and sense of humor. He is so active and loves to be funny. Being the youngest, he still is the ring leader. Like father, like son. He so looks and acts like his dad.

Nolan loves to be naked. I am constantly having to tell him to put his clothes on. Right now he is the playroom with nothing on playing. What a cute butt.

Nolan, you are such a character. You have so much internal drive and so much energy. You are not afraid to express you feelings about anything. One minute you are telling me you love me with a hug and the next you are screaming on the ground kicking your feet. You are going through something right now where you won't go anywhere in the house without someone going with you. I think you just liked to be babied. You are definately taken care of by everyone. Just like you dad. The baby of the family. I pray you find a good woman like he did. Hee hee!

Nolan has been wanting me to read "Olivia and the Missing Toy" to him every night all week. He says it with me and still gets excited and laughs at the good parts. It's the little things in life:)

Nolan has Austin envy. He wants so bad to be like his big brother. He wants every toy Austin has, every outfit he wears, and is dying to play soccer. Poor Nolan, your time will come.

Ever since we went to Almanor, Nolan wants to go homo (home). So funny. Anything Austin has, Nolan wants.

Oh Nolan. You are crazy. You jump off of everything, try anything, and say everything. All at the ripe old age of two. You got on Austin's big bike the other day and started peddling. We were like, "oh my goodness." It is so fun watching you grow up so fast, trying to keep up with your older sibblings. Your favorite sayings these days, "Did you see that." and "Play with me."

What a little jokester. Nolan's new thing is to go around and pester people. Last night I was reading a book and he came over and just shut it. He thought it was funny. I told him he was a little stinker. So he kept saying, "Little Stinker, Little Stinker." Sheri says that he does it at daycare too. He searches the yard for a content little child and goes over and rocks their world. What am I going to do with you, Nolan?

Nolan is quite the singer these days. We will be riding in the car or at home and he just breaks out in song. His favorite is "Spiderman." Other songs include "I love you" (barny). Can't think of anymore right now. Be sure to tune in for more songs when I remember or hear some more of the Nolan radio.

What a mama's boy. Since I cut Nolan's hair he has been in my arms playing with my hair. Nolan has no hair to play with, so now I am the hair provider. I even had to lay in his bed one night. My cute little baby. May you always be my cuddle bug.

Our friends gave us their suns old shoes which are Lightning McQueen shoes. Nolan loves them. He wears them constantly and hates to take them off. Soon we will be looking for Lightning McQueen sandals. My little cutie pie. I can't get over the cute things you say and do.

Nolan is so full of energy these days and he is dying to go outsiede. He got a new basketball and has been wanting to break it in. Every day when we get home he asks for his ball before we are even out of the car and when we get in the house, it's straight to the ball. After my own heart. I love basketball.

Nolan was counting with us today and has been singing the alphabet with daddy. I have to give the credit to day care, but it is just amazing to see what this little boy can do. He was pushing himself around the sidewalk on Austin's scooter. His favorite movie is Cars. His favorite color is green. Favorite thing to do: suck his thumb and play with mommy's hair. This kid has no fear. Loves to jump off the couch and climb on everything.

My little jumping bean. It is amazing to see a one year old jump off the ground with both feet. He is always running around on his toes.

By the end of the Disneyland trip he can now say "magic", "Powits" (pirates), and sing "yo ho a pirates life for me!"

Avery

12-18-11

On Wednesday, Avery's class ate lunch together in their classroom for their Christmas party. I had told Avery she could have hot lunch that day, but forgot. I happened to walk in there at lunch that day and Avery was being her usual drama queen and started to cry because she didn't get her hot lunch. I kind of went back and forth on whether I was going to send her to get a lunch, but decided no with her teacher's help. I felt bad so I went and got her a hot lunch and took it to her. They she cried because she felt bad that she made me feel bad and I did something nice for her even though she threw a fit. I told her how I felt bad when I called my dad to come all the way from work to bring me money for our school carnival in 2nd grade. Well, when we got home she went and made me a card to tell me that she was sorry and she put $10 of here own money in it. When she gave it to me she said that she know I was going to give it back to her, but I couldn't. My sweet girl.

Avery is the second mom of the house. Sometimes should be "the" mom. She takes care of her brothers so well. She is always watching and worrying about them getting hurt. We went to Fort Bragg this month and she was so worried about everyone getting sucked into the ocean. Avery likes to read and is very good at it. She Aqua Jets all summer and became a better swimmer. She loves to do crazy things and laughs a lot. Such a happy girl.

Avery has officially announced that she doesn't like sports. She is such a girl. Garrett is so scared she is going to want to do cheerleading. Right now she is into ballet again. She loves to swim and swims very well. Anything Avery wants to be good at, she is.

Avery is starting to read little books here and there! Wow, what a smart girl. When she wants to do something, she works so hard until she accomplishes her goals. Go Avery!!

Avery is so ready to go to school. She can sit for hours and do workbooks, write, read a little. She helps the first grader at daycare do his homework. Can't wait to see her in school!

Always wants to be the center of attention. Avery is such a good helper around the house. She can do a lot of things on her own and tries to be so big. She is very self sufficient, but has to have some attention at some point.

You are the typical big sister Avery. You have to know everything that is going on and you have to inform me of everything that is going on. You do most everything I ask when I need help around the house and you are so willing to teach your brothers new things. You taught Austin how to tie his shoes and you help Nolan so much. I am so blessed to have a wonderful daughter.

Queen Avery, not princess anymore. Avery thinks she is the queen. She tries to rule the roost. I feel sorry for the boys sometimes because she is constantly nagging them. I think, gosh, do I sound like that? Actually I do sometimes when I am tired. Avery is so smart and has to have everything explained to her so she can know all. Queen!

Avery has mastered the art of tying her shoes. Yah! She was so excited she wanted to teach Austin. Austin told me he would tie his shoes when he was 5.

Avery is loving ballet. She even gets to dance with the older girls sometimes when she is waiting for Austin to get done. She is doing such a good job. She is such a determined little girl.

Avery is such an eater. She eats so much, I don't know where it all goes. My Avery is independent most of the time, but loves the attention. We are always worried that we are not preparing our kids for the technology world, but Avery picks things up so fast. She can work the radio, tv, dvd's, ipod and I'm sure she could run the computer.

Last Saturday we signed Avery up for ballet class once a week. She is loving it. Just what she has been wanting to do. Of course we had to go out and buy the whole outfit for dance. She wore it all day after we bought it. Now it's a count down until Saturday again so she can dance. I can't wait to see what she can do!

Poor Avery had her tonsils out on Friday and she is not feeling the greatest. She has been spoiled by everybody though. The other day I told her she was a princes and then I was playing around and slapped her butt. She told me that you don't do that to princesses. That same day "Princess Diaries" was on T.V. so I said we could watch it. She asked me why we were watching Princess diarhia. :)

We cut Avery's hair about 3 inches today. She wanted to cut it shorter, but I wouldn't. Her hair is so beautiful. It is just so hard to take care of. Avery is growing like a weed. She has about grown out of her new winter clothes. She eats so much and just keep sprouting up. She has been sick for a couple of days. I miss my chipper little girl.

My little dare devil! Avery went on every ride she was tall enough for and was up for anything at D-land. I can't believe Daddy took her on Tower of Terror.

My little helper. Avery is so willing to do anything for me. She loves to help. She picks up things fast and loves to do big girl things, like dial the phone, use the blow dryer, and cook. She also loves to be right in the middle of everything. Such a smart, observant little girl.

"My hair is bumpy." Just like her mom. Hates to have bumpy hair. She'd wear it down in her face every day.

On the tenth, we went to Bucks Lake with my family to get Christmas trees. It was our first time with all of the kids. Wes and his family, Dennis and Briley, Mom and Dad and our family. On our way up Austin says, "Mom, we don't have to worry about the bears up there because they are dehydrating." :) My boy is always thinking.

Austin is our sports fanatic. He is always playing any kind of sport. He just got some new roller blades and he just wants to be out there on them all the time. It doesn't take him long to get good at something. He plays a lot of baseball with his dad and frequents Chico State for basketball days. This kid is so lucky. He just won a bike at a raffle at his school. He just smiles at people and they hand over their wallets, or whatever. He has such a cute smile and awesome personality. I haven't seen a more social child. But I'm his mom, so I am sure their are others.

Austin loves sports. He just finished a week basketball camp at Chico State. Loved it. He is always begging somebody to go shoot with him, play catch with him, or any other sport with him. He is a natural. Austin is a lover at heart. He is very social with adults and loves attention.

Austin loves our Wii as much or more as his daddy does. He wants to play all the time. He is really good at it. He is getting really good at soccer (real life) too. We are so proud to watch him get out there and be aggressive. Go Austin!

Austin is such a boy. He loves to burp all the time. I catch him spitting sometimes as well. He loves hanging out with his dad and is having withdrawals right now cause dad is busy coaching football. At least mom still gets a little time with him. Soon he will always be with dad.

I can't keep the girls off of this cute little boy. All these little girls were just trying to get Austin's attention at Wes's wedding. What am I going to do with my little female charmer. Just like his dad.

Austin, I can't believe how much you love sports. You are so much like your dad. You have moved on from playing catch to hitting baseballs. You ask us every day if we will pitch to you so you can hit the ball. You say your favorite sport is volleyball, but I'm not sure why. You are a great hitter. Austin, you love to laugh and to make people laugh. You are always doing silly things to get a reaction out of whoever is around. I love to see you smile and be such a happy kid.

Austin loves sports. He is so excited that he is going to get to play soccer soon! He has also been carrying around his glove, ball, and bat asking mom and dad to teach him how to play catch. All I can think of is the little boy on "Sandlot" that gets hit in the eye. Austin is so full of energy. He is always running around and when he's not running around, he is talking. I love you, Austin.

Austin is going to be the computer buff in our family. He loves playing computer games with Garrett. That is his favorite thing to do. Right now the popular game is "Sleeping with the fishes." It is so cool to see Garrett and Austin do things together. Austin just loves it.

Austin says the funniest things. His brain is always thinking. We were shopping in the mall last week and he pipes up and says, "Mom, my feet are out of gas, they can't walk anymore." What a character. Austin says things that just don't make any sense (on purpose) and thinks it is so funny. Like: "You're a counter."

When Austin grows up he is going to have the fullest closets. This kids loves to change his clothes. He would do it 10 times a day if I let him. He is going to be the kid who wears shorts year round. That's all he wants to wear. He is definately going to be an athlete and coach. My little ball player.

Austin is becoming quite the sports buff. Basketball especially, but he also likes baseball and football. He loves to go out back and shoot hoops and all he wants to wear is his basketball shorts and tiger shirts.

My little energizer bunny. This boy never stops playing, talking, arguing. He is always busy. Last night after a long day of playing and no nap this kid was running across the living room jumping over a big pile of pillows and jumping on the furniture. WoW!! Austin's favorite thing to do is play game on the computer. He is constantly asking us to play games on the computer with him. He is definately the life of any party!

Austin was so excited to get to D-land, he kept himself awake most of the trip down there and ended up with a big headache. His favorite ride was Thunder Mountain. Austin got to talk to Dude Crush and play in the band at California Adventure, not to mention, shut it down the first night we were there.

Austin is all about his new toys. He sat this weekend and played with all of them for hours. He is one to sit and figure things out on his own, while still keeping up with the world around him. Just when you think he is not paying attention, he aswers your question on the fly. My little Austin.

"I'm pretending mom." Who knows what Austin is talking about. He loves to make up stories. What an imagination this kid has. His brain is always turnin'

I am so greatful for my husband. I have been trying to work out these days and have been so tired. Thank goodness Garrett is picking up the slack. He has been so supportive of my tired and grouchiness. Last night I was resting on the couch while he played three games of Candyland. Thank you honey for everything.

Garrett and Austin are buddies. He takes Austin to sports events most every time he goes. They also like to play in the backyard hitting or shooting balls. Garrett gets on the computer and lets Austin play computer games with him as well. The other night the kids were in bed and I found Garrett playing little kid game on the computer by himself. He was really enjoying it. This has happened more than once. Austin has Garrett hooked.

This summer is going by so fast. We have been to Monterey Bay and Reno already. Gearing up for the 4th of July and then maybe a camping trip with Jenny's bridal shower in the middle. We are enjoying having nowhere to be and being able to do whatever we want. We have been home playing a lot of baseball, dancing on the Wii and enjoying the cool weather this week. This evening we went to see the movie BRAVE. The kids loved it. It was cute. I am so glad that I am able to have the summers to be together as a family. I feel so blessed.

So I have been trying to run and workout these days. I so wish I could be back in shape. That is my goal. It feels good to exercise, but I get so tired and grouchy. I am not a good tired person. It is hard trying to exercise and work and take care of the kids and house and have enough energy to do all of that. Life is good though and I love my family. What greater gift to have than three beautiful children and a loving, supportive husband.

Missing basketball. I was shooting around with my brothers yesterday and realized how much I miss basketball. My goal is to get in shape even if I'm not playing competitive sports anymore. It feels good to exercise.
