I wish I was better at taking pictures. (I know I always say that, but no matter how hard I try, it just doesn't happen for me.) For example, the only way I could even get the boys to take a picture for me was to let them hold their light savers, but even then they wouldn't smile or anything. They looked so handsome for Christmas. Plus, have I gotten a professional to take their picture in the last year, no. So bad.
So we have been busy of course. Just living life. We love to do things as a family and that is what keeps us close and happy. The last six months have been pretty mellow for us. No trips or anything, just hanging out. Austin and Avery learned how to ride their bikes without training wheels, so every free clear sky we can get, we are out riding bikes. Nolan got a bike for Christmas and is really good at riding with training wheels. Quite the dare devil. We have been getting a lot of rain, so they even beg me to ride circles in the garage.
Like I said, Nolan is our little dare devil. He flies down the driveway on his bike and makes the turn just in time to hit the grass and slow to a stop. All without tipping over. Scarey, but funny to watch. Last weekend we were at my moms and he took off down her long driveway which ends on a busy street. I don't remember running that fast for that long since maybe eighth grade. Luckily he made the turn about half way down and we were safe. Other than making me gasp everyday, Nolan is potty training. I am so glad this is my last time. This boy has refused to poop on the toilet. I can't believe that someone could hold it for that long. Finally today Sherry (daycare) got him to go. We love Sherry. He got a bag of M & M's and we did the poop poo dance all day. Yah for Nolan. Now we just have to keep it up.
Austin and Avery started Spring soccer for the last two weeks. Austin has shown much improvement. He is actually getting in there and kicking the ball with a purpose. A lot less running with crowd and looking like he's involved. Avery gave up ballet for a while to do soccer. She is not as into it as last time. She hasn't connected with the coach or her teammates yet to get that spark going. Soon we hope. She missed Laurel and her dance.
Since it has been raining a lot and we have held back on going to our favorite place (Disneyland) sadly, we purchased a Wii. Since then, Garrett doesn't get greeting by the kids when we get home, he gets asked if we can play the Wii. It is fun to play and we can play together. Garrett is the worst. So competitive. He definately kicks my butt.
So happy we are, growing as a family. We have fun being at home or hanging with friends. The twins start school next year and we will start another chapter in our lives. Scarey, but good. I am excited to see them get into new things. I hope they love school as much as I did. I know that is why I became a teacher. Can't get away from school. Signing out.
