HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2012
It was a fun Halloween. I liked how all of our costumes matched. Nolan was Harry Potter, Austin was Ron Weasly and Avery was Hermione Granger. The kids are so into Harry Potter ever since I started reading them the books. Nolan's idea! We are on the fourth book, The Goblet of Fire. We read first and then watch the movie. It is so cool that the kids into HP as much as I am!

Throwing in the Towel
OK. So I am throwing in the towel on trying to catch up on my blog posts with everything we did this summer. The summer is over and I haven't even begun to start in on what we did. So I will try to squeeze them in as side notes, but keep up on current events otherwise. Today we went to the Bohme's and had a wonderful time. They have a beautiful home and their property is amazing. They have beautiful trees, bushes, flowers, landscape I should say. They have a dog, the kids call him the "smart dog" (Sam) which they love. They have a pool and a hot tub so the kids are entertained and we just get to sit back and visit and enjoy the natural surroundings. Sam is the babysitter. He watches the kids while they swim. He is very protective. They have a new dog and the kids love her as well. She is very shy, but by the end of the day she was warming up to our little monkeys. Thank you Joe and Tammy for your patience. They are wonderful friends. It is nice to sit back and enjoy families and friendships together.

Baseball and Softball 2012
This was Avery and Nolan's first year on a baseball/softball team. They had a great time. Austin and Nolan got to be on the same team together. Their team included a lot of the friends from the neighborhood.

Spring Trip to the Zoo
Garrett and I have different Spring Breaks, but we still found the time to go to the zoo as a family. It was a preliminary for the twins because they went to the zoo with their school about a month later. We had a great time. We got to see some big cats and entertaining monkeys. The kids could tell us a lot about the zoo animals. They spent all year learning about them to prepare for their end of the year trip. We finished off the visit with a trip to the gift shop. The twins got water bottles, Austin got a cool safari hat, Avery got a necklace, and Nolan got a pair of binoculars, which he didn't put down for a good two weeks. All of this bought with their own money.
Why in the heck is there a dump truck in the middle of the zoo? |

Happy #5 Nolan!
Nolan is so funny. He did the same thing for his birthday this year that he did last year. He wanted to have a Star Wars birthday at gymnastics. I was so for that again. It is so easy and the kids love it. I surprised Nolan on his actual birthday with a decorated house and donut for breakfast. He was surprised, I was tired. Now the twins are expecting decorations for their birthday.

Disneyland 2012 cont.
Choo, Choo! |
Love this picture. |
Whenever we go on splash, Nolan spends time in Pooh Corner. Even when he finally was tall enough to go on splash, he won't ride. One time was enough for him. |
Nolan's tired cranky look. |
Avery and Austin got to do the Jedi training. It was so cool. They got to fight Darth Maul. He was so real looking. |
Nolan got the Indiana Jones kit at Disneyland and loved it. He makes a great Indy! |
Grandpa's Birthday at the Pier
We were going to go whale watching on Dad's birthday, but it was way windy. So we ended up at this Ruby's restaurant at some pier in LA. It was cool and Grandpa got a treat!
