Our Favorite Place!

We made our trip to Disneyland this summer once again. We can't stand it, we just have to go....a lot. Each time is different only because the kids grow and change so much...as far as bravery, height, likes and dislikes.

Avery:
  • super brave
  • went on everything went on California Screamin' for the first time and went another time after that
  • is always up for anything!
  • was a great big sister to Maya

Austin:
  • was brave the first time on Screamin', but couldn't do it a second time
  • went on every other ride otherwise
  • was a good big brother and tried to talk Nolan into going on more rides
  • had fun playing with Maya

Nolan:
  • the fear has finally hit a little bit
  • went on everything once, including The Grizzly and Soarin' for the first time.
  • had to stop the Griz the second time to take him off because he was throwing a fit about going
  • wouldn't go on Splash, or Space, or Soarin' or the Griz again
  • his favorite ride, Matterhorn, was shut down for the trip
  • now his favorite ride is Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
  • had fun playing with Maya

Garrett:
  • Loves every ride still
  • wanted to do Fantasmic prefered seating, but didn't
  • took Austin and Avery on Screamin', Space, and Tower so I didn't have too
  • entertained Nolan while the rest of us went on Splash...a lot
  • took the Austin and Avery on the canoes (we don't do that very often)
  • surprised the kids with bubble guns

Me:
  • Loved going on Splash every time
  • didn't get as sick on Soarin', but got really sick on the rockets
  • made it through the trip without having to get on Tower, Space, or Screamin'
  • loved the fireworks show from behind, got a good view of Tinkerbell and Dumbo
  • got to visit with Maggie and her family
  • Had a lot of fun like always!

Say these ducks at Disneyland. Thought they were cute!

July, Trip #1

Garrett and I had a tough year at work, so we thought we would get away in July as much as possible and reward our family. What a fun month. Our first trip consisted of staying in Reno a few nights and meeting our friends at Little Grass Valley for one night of camping. Very relaxing trip. The high light was the fire we saw from our hotel one hill over. Almost thought we were going to have to evacuate, but didn't. Thank you fire fighters. Poor Nolan was sick the whole trip, throwing up in the car on the way there. What a trooper though. Sorry poor Nolan for dragging you around with the flu.

One night of camping is really all we are good for right now. We really could have only stayed for one night because of other plans, but even if we did have the time, one night was enough for me. Still too much work for me. When the kids get older and can do more, I think it will be something we can do more of. It was nice to see Sharon and Becky and Heather with their families outside of work. They are all so fun to hang out with and the kids get around so well. Hey, they all grew up together. They have a family of their own.

The first game played in the arcade. Dad just couldn't resist.
The arcade had a cool play area with a bounce house and lots of climbing toys. The kids had a blast.
The pool was fun too. Very windy though. We almost thought we were going to be caught in a storm.
 Never too sick to swim.
Beautiful Avery. WE are in so much trouble.
 Austin the joker!
 Best brothers!
WE went to this awesome sports store in Sparks called Scheel's.  We could have spent all day in there. It is so much fun to walk through. Anything you need for any sport, they have. They also have a Ferris wheel right in the middle of the store. Avery was the only one that would go with me. That's my girl.

4th of July Tradition

We have celebrated the last two 4th of July's at the Fridrich's, so I am calling it a tradition.  It has been so much fun I hope we can keep up with the tradition. Austin, Nolan and Garrett talk about it all year. They plan what fireworks they are going to have. It is like Christmas in July. THe best part is being able to get together with family. With our family expanding, we don't get everyone together quite as often, but when we do, it is the best! So here is to everyone that was there and we missed everyone that wasn't there.

The great grand kid clan is growing and growing so fast.
Watch out for the Hootie shark and his sea hags.
 Catching up.

 Cousins!

The kids had so much junk food. Nolan got sick. Come to find out, he had the flu. So I didn't feel as guilty after that.
 My human fireworks!
 They could almost be sisters.

 Hours of entertainment.
The anticipation.
