Brighter Days

It's funny how things work. I have been so down lately thinking how things are crazy. Work is crazy. We are always rushing with no time to enjoy. But lately I have been humbled. The people I have talked to and the blogs I have read. My life is pretty good compared to some. So I confess. I was having a pitty party. I'm am getting over myself and have thought about others advice. When in trials, serve. So instead of feeling sorry for myself, I have going to serve others.

Party Time!!!

The kids had so much fun at Nolan's party!!! And it was so easy. We had his party at the gymnastics academy here in town. All we had to do was bring the cake. The instructors took all the kids out on the floor and let them play. They led them through an obstacle course. They did duck-duck-goose, they had a lot of free play, and for the grand finale, they brought out the zip line and let the kids fly and drop in a big hole. I definately recommend a birthday party there for anyone, but especially little kids. Nolan talks about doing it again every day. Another great part of the party was the awesome cakes that Aunt Leia made. She made Nolan 2 pirate cakes and some cup-cakes. Everyone was amazed! We let the kids have at one of the pirates and just pick and lick. I know, kind of gross, but they really just picked all the decoration off. I didn't really see too much fronsting licking. I just have to say, what a huge success. I am so glad it went well and glad it's over. Lots of friends came and we had lots of fun! HAPPY BIRTHDAY NOLAN!!
(THe last picture is a picture of the kids' cousin Wyatt. He is such a busy boy that it took me the whole party to get a picture of him. I caught him just in time and it was a great picture. Yah. )

A Long Week

I must say that this was a tough week for me. A lot of running around and not a lot of sleep. Garrett and Avery had bronchitis this week and was constantly coughing night and day. Poor babies. It was hard not to get mad. I knew they weren't coughing on purpose, but it was so frustrating. We went to the doctor on Sunday hoping to get a good start on recovering, but Avery's medicine didn't seem to be working, so back in we went on Wednesday (after 3 days of suffering). Luckily, the medicine worked this time. I have had 2 days of almost cough free. Thank goodness.

Yesterday I found out that my Grandma Wakefield has cancer on her lung. Very hard to hear. I love my Grandma so much. So the last 24 hours I have had all of the good memories of her going through my head. We don't have any details yet, but I am praying that it is something that can be taken care of.

Nolan's birthday party is tomorrow and because of the long week, I am totally not ready. Oh well. It will all be o.k. Just a lot of stress. I hope I at least remember my camera so I can get some good pictures. Signing out. Gotta clean.

Happy Birthday to the Noley Poley!

I can never get the pictures in the order I want them. Oh well. Today is Nolan's third birthday. I can't believe my baby is 3! Last night we sang happy birthday to him and had ice-cream cones. Hence, the pictures. Notice the goofball boys of course. They had ice-cream all over their faces. They said they were clowns. Ha, Ha! Nolan woke up this morning and wanted me to sing to him, so I did. When I was done, he said, "Can I have some ice-cream now?" What a tricker. Nolan loves sweets. He has the biggest sweet tooth. He loves cookies, cake, ice-cream, candy, and the occasional soda.
Nolan, I must say, has his hard headedness like the rest of us. He wants to do what he wants and that is it. Today he wanted to do something outside and I said no. He proceeded to sit in the middle of the drive way and fold his arms and say, "I don't care." Where that came from, I have no idea. Nolan is such a fun happy kid though. He is my cuddler. He loves to cuddle and is still small enough to fit in my lap. He loves to play with toys, or things he makes his toys. For example, his toy last week was a night light cover. His toy this week is the remote for the tv in the car and a shiney twisty tie off a loaf of bread or something. Silly Nolan. Nolan also loves kicking balls in the air no matter where. Mostly in the house since it has been raining a lot. He loves funny movies and teasing anyone who will play with him. He loves his big bro and sis and wants to be like them. My baby is growing up. I love him so much and it is so much fun to see all of my children grow and learn!
