Spring Soccer Parties!

Nice smile Austin!
"I love soccer!"

Avery and her medal. So happy to stop and take a picture.
Avery loves pizza. She barely stopped eating to go up and get her award.
Cupcakes, yuuuummmm!
OOpps, bad picture.
This week was spent celebrating the end of Spring soccer. Yah! We were at Round Table Wednesday and Thursday evenings for pizza and awards. What a busy week. Today is the start of vacation!!! Yahoo! So Wednesday was Austin's celebration night. The coaches said a little thing about each player and awarded them with an awesome trophy which had a soccer ball that twirled. The kids were mesmerized. (my spelling is horrible by the way) So the coaches said that Austin was the "team communicator", translation, Austin talks all the time. On the bench, on the field, anywhere, Austin is "communicating" with everybody. That includes coaches, teammates, opposing teams, refs, you name it. Gotta love the kid. Never a dull or quiet moment. I have to say that Austin's soccer skills have much improved and his determination to get in there and be part of the action is coming around.

Avery's coaches were not so blessed with words, but we had a fun pizza party and she got an awesome collage and medal. Since the coaches didn't say anything about Avery, I will. Avery is a good soccer player, but this go around her heart wasn't really into playing soccer. She had a great time making new friends and playing other fun games that the girls made up during practices and games. This included dancing and chasing. Avery's poor coach. Thank goodness he had a lot of patience. We have decided that Avery's love is dancing. Every time she was going on or off the field, and in between, she was dancing, practicing ballet moves, and/or checking her shadow to see how her pose looked. Yes, we have to get Avery resigned up for ballet. She was able to score a couple of goals this season in between dance moves and we are proud of her for finishing the season with a good attitude.

Anyways, one more soccer game tomorrow and we all get a well deserved break. Nolan is probably the happiest about that. He has been drug around to numerous practices and games with nothing to do but watch and wait. What a trooper. "I don't want to go to soccer," was said many times by our little three year old, but he still went and was good at entertained himself without much complaint. Don't worry Nolan, your time will come.

We love all or our kids and their talents. It is fun to see them grow, join teams, make new friends and enjoy life. My hope is that they remember the good times and learn how to enjoy life!

Sounds like fun watching the kids play soccer, I love the description you gave of Austin as the "team communicator" So cute, and I can just imagine Gracie doing the same thing as Avery, so funny. I am sure Nolan will be the greatest soccer player ever. Have a Happy Easter.
