Timmy Thumpkins

Yes people, we had an elf in our house this year. I'm not sure that he made much of a difference as far as behavior goes, but there were other benefits. One being that it got the kids out of bed in the morning. It was a race to see who could find him first, and usually a fight afterwards because someone didn't get a chance to look. Another benefit is that the kids tell the elf what they want for Christmas and I could listen in. Big help. We all had fun with Timmy and it was sad to see him go. He was an adventure our family shared together. Even Garrett got involved. Until next year Timmy.

The Dreadful Mohawk

I finally gave in and let Austin do his hair the way he had been wanting it for a while. Having a mohawk has been a big thing at school and he wanted to be a part of it. In the words of Sharon, "Sometimes you just have to say yes."

Oh, Christmas Tree!

Putting up the tree is so fun. We have so many memories in each of our ornaments, from Garrett's childhood ornaments, to the kids past ornaments. The kids were super excited this year and they all helped.

These are the only pictures I got of the tree this year. Darn.

Christmas Tree Cutting

We finally went to cut our own Christmas tree. Thank you Wes for putting it together. We had a great time and almost all of our family went. We got lucky and got to play in the snow that is probably melted by now. I hope that we can do it again next year.

Mom, look at the camera.

I said, "Mom, look at the camera."

Snow trip snack, noodles.
Sick daddy made the trip anyways.

Nolan's Last Christmas Program at Sharon's

Nolan's Christmas program was awesome. The kids sang and did a cute little dance for us. Sharon served us some awesome enchiladas and salad and the kids had a blast. We just love Sharon and how she loves our children. She is a great friend.

A Silly Idea for Curls

So Avery has been wanting her hair curly. I was telling her how back in the day ladies used to tie their hair up in rags to make their hair curly. So we tried it. Didn't work real well, but it was fun and Avery and I got to spend some quality time together.

Kids Playing

I got this marble thing down on a day off and the kids played in Avery's bedroom for a while together. I love it when the kids play together on their own sometimes. They were laughing and having a blast and I snuck in and got a picture of them. It was so cool to hear and see.
We broke out twister one day. Another fun thing to do at the Weagants.

Thanksgiving 2011

So I wasn't really in a picture taking mood on Thanksgiving. This is all I got. We had a great time at my mom and dad's, and lots of good food.

Games

We are a game playing family. The kids got a new game call Head Banz for their birthday. It is a hard game, but the kids love it. Here are a couple of funny pictures the boys got to guess.

Happy #7 Avery and Austin

Another thing I love about fall is that it is Austin and Avery's birthday. We have lots of fun throwing parties for them. We have so many people that we want to celebrate with, we usually have more than one party. This year we did a party in Oroville at the bowling ally and a party in Chico at Nana's house.

At Nana's we had some friends from Shasta there which made it super special for the kids. They miss there friends and their old school sometimes. We did a bounce house, tie-dye, and painting. It was a great party. Unfortunately I was super busy with the tie-dye and didn't get many pictures.
